Thinking About Tox or Filler? Here’s What to Expect

So you’re thinking about getting tox or filler for the first time, but you’re not quite sure what to expect. Maybe you've seen friends do it. Maybe you’ve been eyeing your reflection and wondering if a little something could help you look more refreshed. Whatever brought you here, just know that it’s completely normal to be curious, excited, and even a little nervous.

At Naturally Rae, we work with a lot of first-timers. Most aren’t coming in for a dramatic change. They just want to feel like the best version of themselves: more awake, a little smoother, a little lifted. Our team can help you achieve either a subtle enhancement or a more dramatic transformation, whichever you prefer.

Before your appointment, there’s not much you need to do. It’s helpful to avoid alcohol or medications like ibuprofen or aspirin for a day or two before to minimize the chance of bruising. And if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any major events coming up, be sure to let us know during your consultation. Other than that, come as you are and bring your questions. That’s what we’re here for.

When you arrive, we’ll talk through everything, going over your areas of concern, and making a personalized plan. Then we’ll get started. Most treatments take about 15 to 30 minutes, and most people are surprised by how quick and easy it is. The injections themselves feel like tiny pinches with minimal discomfort.

After your appointment, you can get right back to your day. Swelling, redness, and light bruising can happen, but most side effects are mild and short-lived. We do recommend skipping workouts, massages, or lying flat for a few hours, but otherwise, you’re free to go about your day as usual.

Now, the most important part: the results.

Tox typically takes a few days to begin working its magic, with full results in 7-14 days. Filler, on the other hand,  is more immediate. You’ll leave your appointment already seeing the difference, but it will continue to settle over the coming days.

One of the things we love most is seeing the moment our clients look in the mirror and smile, not because they look totally different, but because they still look like themselves with just a little enhancement.

If you’ve been considering injectables but aren’t totally sure they’re for you, we’d love to meet you. Consultations are a pressure-free space to ask questions, get expert advice, and explore your options. Whether you’re ready to book or just gathering info, we’re here to help you feel empowered and informed. Schedule your appointment today!
